Celebrating Nova Scotia SPCA’s commitment to its century-old mandate to provide a safe haven for animals with nowhere else to go, Bulwark Cider is donating part of the proceeds of this rose cider to Nova Scotia SPCA. Each bottle has a unique label and pictures an ever-so-cute kitten, cheeky cat, bright-eyed dog, or one awesome guinea pig!
The idea for the pledge and labels came about as a way to inspire individuals and families to visit their local shelter to adopt their next furry family member. It also raises awareness of the work Nova Scotia SPCA does in animal rescue, rehabilitation, shelter and rehoming, preventing cruelty to animals, and education and advocacy.
“Organizations like Nova Scotia SPCA are making a positive difference and we are proud to support the team in their efforts to raise animal welfare awareness in Nova Scotia, and to help resolve it” says Germain Bergeron, owner of Muwin Estate Wines, makers of Bulwark Cider.
“The Nova Scotia SPCA is excited to partner again with our friends at Muwin Estate Wines and Bulwark to raise awareness and funds for animals in need,” says Taylor Mundy, Provincial Fund Development Coordinator. “We are excited to see the faces of our adorable adoptables featured on labels in local retail locations. We hope that this partnership will inspire people to connect with the Nova Scotia SPCA when they are looking to adopt, volunteer, foster or fundraise.”
The limited release cases available in retail stores are specially crafted to warm hearts at first site. At 9.5 per cent, the stronger-than-usual gluten-free cider made with organic apples is deliciously light and refreshing, combining the tartness of heirloom apples with the soft, velvety smooth taste of Merlot wine.
